In my opinion, the best feature of the GoPro HERO8 is the Hypersmooth 2.0 stabilization in the 240fps slow motion shooting mode. While only available in 1080p, this mode allows for smooth speed ramps and improves on what the HERO7 Black could do. If you’re thinking about getting a GoPro and are having trouble choosing between the HERO7 Black and HERO8, take this feature into consideration. If you don’t need stabilized 240fps slow mo clips, the HERO7 Black may very well satisfy most of your needs for less.
