Omron is here presenting Identify Direct's Checkrite Barcode Validation system Hi, My name is Annabel. I'm a graduate automation engineer and I work at Omron. Today I need to show you a solution that Omron has created in partnership with Identify Direct... and this system is called the Checkrite system. The Checkrite system is a simple solution to validate that the barcodes on your products are correct. So here is a little demonstration of how the system works. So in a normal factory line, we have the conveyor belt. So what we are going to do to teach the barcode, we have one here, that's the correct barcode that we are going to use to teach the system. So as simple as this - come here - turn it to learn - and now we're going to place the box with the barcode on the conveyor belt - it's going to go past - and it's read it and it's learnt it. So now to double check it's correct - we have the exact same barcode here of the same product.. going to place it down ... and it's passed. So for example, now, if I get a different barcode, so this ends in 12 - the other one ends in 10... and place it on the belt, it's read it, it's seen that it's incorrect, so it's stopped the line. As simple as that! So what we can do now, is someone's going to come, collect the wrong box, say 'ok, this is wrong' and now I'm going to reset the Checkrite system. So then it carries on. So now, if you also get the correct barcode and place it upside down, it'll still work as well..... And it's passed. The last feature to show is that, if there is five consecutive no-reads, the line will stop. But you can tailor it to how many you'd like. So, this is going to have five. We place the box where there is no barcode to read.... and it shows a yellow light. If we place another one...................................it stops.
