This is the prologue of my journey to embrace freedom, from buying a BMW GS Adventure motorcycle, to quitting my job, and spending six months exploring the US & Canada on two wheels with a camera and a tent. This video is a preview of what I experienced along the way and what the audience will enjoy on the Gunner Stone channel. Subscribe to not miss the journey. The journey began in Franklin Tennessee, outside of Nashville which is captured in this video. Future videos will take you through Colorado, Wyoming (Yellowstone & Teton National Parks) into Montana over The famous Beartooth Highway, then Idaho, and Washington before entering British Columbia to explore Whistler, Banff, Jasper, and multiple Provincial Parks in the Canadian Rockies. The journey continues up the Alaska Highway to the Yukon and Northwest Territories, where a month is spent exploring Canada's Far North. This period includes the Robert Campbell Highway venturing deep into the central portion of the Yukon and the very popular Dempster Highway from Dawson City to Tuktoyaktuk on the edge of the Arctic Ocean. Moving West, the journey leads over the Top of The World Highway to enter Alaska where several months and thousands of miles are spent exploring all of Alaska's major roads to include: the Dalton Highway (from Fairbanks over Atigun Pass to Deadhorse and Prudhoe Bay), and hiking in the Brooks Range. The Steese Highway (from Fairbanks to Circle). The Denali Highway (from Paxon to Cantwell). Hatcher Pass, and three of Alaska's National Parks (Kenai Fjords, Wrangell-St. Elias, and Denali). Fly fishing for salmon during the annual migration up the Kenai and Russian Rivers, and deep sea fishing from Homer. Seward, Whittier, Valdez, Kennicott, and Haines are all explored. As the snow approached, the journey was forced out of Alaska and the adventure moved South along the Pacific Coast Highway. The Oregon & California coasts were particularly enjoyable especially as temperatures dropped in the evenings. The lighthouses were picturesque and there was almost no traffic as the trip extended into the late fall. Redwoods, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Carmel, Pebble Beach and Big Sur were exception photography days. The traditional stops in Los Angeles also made it into the adventure (Hollywood, Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, etc). It was nice to get out of the LA traffic and make it down to San Diego and camp on the beach in Coronado. By this time, Fall was over and Winter had arrived so I explored the Southwest US. Not wanting the adventure to be over, mainly because of the incredible feeling of freedom and having unlocked the most profound inner peace that I've ever experienced - I decided to keep the adventure going (albeit not on 2 wheels for the winter). The ski slopes were calling and I was ready to answer the call. #adventure #alaska #yukon #arctic #camping
