Welcome to this HSK 2 listening practice video! If you're learning Chinese, this is for you. In this video, you'll hear a passage about my daily life, packed with useful vocabulary related to eating noodles, restaurants, and daily routines. I read the entire passage twice: first at a slow speed to help you catch every word, and then at a normal speed so you can challenge your listening skills and get used to natural spoken Chinese. Join me as I take you to a delicious noodle shop! After a memorable trip to Japan, where my friend and I savored incredibly delicious ramen (拉面) in Osaka, we've been searching for a similar taste back home. We discovered this fantastic ramen spot online, and this is actually our second visit – we came here two months ago and loved it! This ramen shop is a true find, open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM. We arrived around 7:20 PM, just before closing, which meant the parking lot wasn't too crowded. You'll find out the two main reasons why we keep coming back: first, their noodles are truly amazing, and second, they have a huge, convenient parking lot – perfect since we came by car (we rented it for a weekend trip, about 4.6 km and a 10-minute drive from my home!). Inside, the music is a bit loud, so it's not the quietest place, but the delicious food makes up for it! We'll look at their menu with noodles (面条), dumplings (饺子), and even alcohol. Though their noodles aren't cheap, the taste is worth it! We ordered two large bowls of hot noodles and a bottle of refreshing iced tea (茶). I don't like alcohol, and my friend was driving, so no drinks for us tonight! I'll even share how I used to make this kind of iced tea myself during summers in Beijing. You'll see our big bowls of noodles arrive, plus some fried chicken (炸鸡块) we ordered! And here's a fascinating cultural insight: did you know that in Thailand, you shouldn't make noise while eating noodles, but in Japan, it's a must to slurp loudly to show appreciation? The louder, the more delicious the noodles are considered! We left the shop around 8 PM, full and satisfied, as they were closing up. The restaurant was nearly empty, and our car was the only one left in the parking lot. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into my day and get some great Mandarin listening practice! 📖 Video Chapters: 00:00 Introduction 00:17 Slow speed 06:51 Normal speed ❤️ Have questions?
