Taming the Goddess Purple: Hirosawa H-28A Part 2 This part of the process is pretty straight forward and you will be working over your prepared buffer areas as well as an area that is not an adequately buffered area so you will quite clearly see the dramatic, unattractive reaction to the silver. No wonder people have trouble with this enamel before they understand how to work around the issue. The Hirosawa H-28A is the most spectacular purple I have ever seen but it is quite the Diva and difficult to bring out the Goddess in her. Our working title for this tutorial was Taming of the Shrew. With a good understanding of this amazing enamel and some sound preparation, you will be able to get a successful result with this elusive purple. I am also introducing H-28B (Bluish purple, silver sensitive) which is equally tricky but can be handled in exactly the same way for successful results. The two layers described here are the introduction of the two purples onto the sample. Fire these layers for 2 minutes 20 seconds at 1400 degrees to maturity I was not able to upload the graphic here, you will have to watch the video. Enamels Used in the Part 1 segment are Nihon Shippo G110 & G701, Hirosawa S-6AA and S-172B. In this segment, Hirosawa H-28A, H-28B. and the 3rd segment we will be adding Hirosawa S-111 and Nihon Shippo 100B.
