Lydian Nadhaswaram is a musician, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Chennai, India. At only 14 years old, Lydian has performed for audiences around the world and demonstrated a gift and maturity for music well beyond his years. Born into a vibrant musical home Lydian quickly developed a prodigious aptitude for music memory, perfect pitch and melody. He plays the piano, drums, guitar, tabla, almost all of which he taught himself. Lydian has since performed for audiences in London, New York, Sydney, Buenos Aires and Dubai. Lydian was only 23 months young when Lydian astonished everybody by playing a beat on the floor with a couple of xylophone sticks. By the time he was eight, Lydian had drummed in something like 600 gigs led by his father Varshan Sathish, a well known South Indian Music Composer. Lydian starts with one pattern, then from his repertory pulls up a second pattern that matches the previous one, and then a third and so on, making each pattern segue from the one before it.
