In Dungeons and Dragons, the gray jester comes from the Feywild to steal joy and happiness from the mortal creatures who live there. Since they can't feel joy on their own, they must steal it from others, and the consequences can be dire. Gray Jesters got their start in DnD 3.5 in the Heroes of Horror book, however, since then they've been completely in the dark. So whether you're running Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 or Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, the Gray Jester is here to spice up your game!
