Ampeg B15 Vintage Amplifier Re-Creation From Scratch

Here is a short clip of a few stills taken during my re-creation of a vintage Ampeg B-15. All work was completed by me and the finished project is for my personal use only and not for re-sale. I have always been a fan of the sound of these amplifiers and thought that it would be a good challenge to try and build one. I have never actually seen a genuine B-15, but there are lots of photos and information on the net, including schematics and dimensions. My version includes all of the different permutations of solid state/tube rectification, cathode and fixed bias and the two different channels with separate Baxendal tone circuits for each. I managed to get the correct 15inch driver as fitted to the original cabinets, luckily they were also fitted to Hammond organ tone cabinets, and that's where mine came from. Valves/Tubes for mine are cold war Russian equivalents obtained from Ukraine. I am extremely pleased with the result and although I am unsure how it compares with the original it does have the big punchy sound that I had hoped that it would have.
