"Liverpool doesn't really have an acoustic scene. Unless you want to see tribute bands there isn't really any live music nights here." These, believe it or not, were the words uttered to me by a friend as I moved to Liverpool. I stood there, shocked and confused - I couldn't quite believe it. How could Liverpool, of all places, not have an acoustic scene? One afternoon, I decided to check this out for myself and took to the internet! Very quickly I found the website of Liverpool Acoustic and spotted they were putting on a night that night so I immediately got myself a ticket and went along. The show itself was great. I had a blast and it was nice to be back watching live music again, but it wasn't the headline act that caught my attention. No, it was the opening act: Laura and Claire. Two girls with one, sometimes two, guitar(s) and beautiful harmonies - and believe me when I say everyone in the View Two that night left thinking they were awesome! I get home that night and take to the internet and big up both Liverpool Acoustic and Laura and Claire. I then get told they are playing another bar in Liverpool the following night and so head off to Vinyl to see them and once again they are fantastic. I've seen them several times since then, and every time I've been impressed. So much so, that I've been asking them to film an Addistock Session since last July! After a sneak peak of them with the sessions I filmed for Threshold Festival back in March, I managed to convince them to come back to Arena and film a real Addistock Session.
