In 2022, Mr. Sanj Patel re-released his Love N' Passion cigar project, that he ceased production himself in the late 2000's due to quality control and wanting to wait for quality leaves to age properly. Also in 2022, it became an important year for Sanj because that January marked his 30th year of owning the Sanj's Smoke Shop. In celebrating his 30th anniversary, he decided to bring back the Love N Passion project by naming the re-released project SP1014 Red with the master blender Chico Rivas. "But Alex and Rick, why name it SP1014 and what does it mean?" Well guys, the SP stands for Sanj Patel and the 1014 marks his birthday 10/14. Now That I introduced and gave the brief history of how the whole SP1014 project that came back to Sanj's shop, let's dig into this newer project under the SP1014 name. The SP1014 Black: This project is not only notorious because of it possessing 7 different leaves, but the master blender behind this project is also the very prominent master blender of Davidoff, Mr. Eladio Diaz. As he retired from Davidoff and set off to do his own projects, Mr. Sanj, a man who always highly respected Mr. Eladio, reached out to Mr. Eladio and brainstormed on cigar ideas and blends. After a while and trying different combinations of leaves, both Sanj and Eladio settled with the 7 leaves idea and orchestrated the SP1014 Black. In today's video, we explained the in and out of this cigar project, but had a minor limitation due to Sanj and Eladio keeping the 5 filler undisclosed to the public.
