Pyrotouch in action

The key to a functional "DriZzlR Gasifier", is keeping the emberbed at a constant level. The least consumption of feedstock in the gasifier must be replenished by dripfeeding (DriZzlinG) new fuel at once. As a consequence the glowing bed is very shallow. Everything is hapening in it at once, drying, pyrolising, combusting....The escaping tars right above the coal bed ignite inmediatly and are keeping the combustion zone at the high enough temperature to crack the rest of the tars. In order to keep the burning bed at level we designed two types of sensors "pyrotouch" as we named them. The Pyrotouch must be robust to withstand the hot zone in wich they work and are adapted to the fuel. The PAK for woodchips, showed above, divers from its brother for pellets because of the exstra "kompaktor" fuction. This function hammers on the chips(with adjustable force from a few grams to one kg) and disturbs any bridging and hollow burning. Luk
