Afternoon Bite Goes Off at Surf City Pier- Sheepshead & Spanish Mackerel!

It was one of those pier fishing days where you just had to be there! This was one of the craziest Spanish Mackerel bites I had ever seen at Surf City Pier, located on Topsail Island, North Carolina. I was watching it on the live pier cam all day at work, and was sure it would turn off before I made it there. You can check out the live cam yourself at www.surfchex.com. I know some of you may be wondering when you're going to see a kayak video..... sadly I had to sell my kayak last year as my pup, Oshie, has had to have several more surgeries for tumors etc. I'm hoping that I'll be able to afford a new one soon, but until then, I'm going to keep on pumping out content from the pier and beach, and some boat trips when I get the chance.
