Winds of Change: A Global Issues Discussion (November 12, 2025)

MGA professors Dr. Matthew Caverly (assistant professor of public safety), Dr. John Hall (associate professor of political science), and Dr. Christopher Lawrence (professor of political science) discuss current international issues, including the Russo-Ukrainian War, the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, the impact of cuts in U.S. foreign assistance on "soft power" and humanitarian consequences, and the U.S. confrontation with Venezuela in our second political science discussion event of the Fall 2025 semester, cosponsored by the Department of History and Political Science, the School of Arts and Letters, the Political Science Student Organization, and the Alpha Mu Zeta chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national honorary society for political science.
