MAIL CALL MONDAY – (3/9/26) A Special Axe, A Vintage Hammer, and… Why So Many Stanley Box Cutters? First things first — if you’re interested in owning a RedBeard Axe, shoot me an email: 📧 redbeardknt@yahoo.com ⸻ 📦 WHAT SHOWED UP AT THE SHOP? You know how this goes… packages start showing up and things escalate quickly. This week we’ve got a few interesting pieces that landed on the bench. ⸻ 🔪 Why All the Stanley Box Cutters? Because I went on a mission. I’ve discovered a bit of a niche with vintage box cutters, and I’m planning to put a RedBeard twist on them and start offering them on my Etsy shop. So naturally… …I bought a few. Actually more than a few. This should turn into something pretty epic, so keep an eye out for those. ⸻ 🪓 A Vintage Wizard Axe Head This one hits close to home. People often ask why I collect Wizard axes. The Wizard brand was sold through Western Auto, and when I was a kid my dad used to take me there. We’d walk the aisles looking at tools and everything else they had on the shelves. Those were special memories. Now that he’s passed, I’ve found myself holding onto this brand as a small way to honor him. So whenever a Wizard tool pops up… it usually finds its way into the shop. ⸻ 🔨 A Vintage Wizard Hammer Now this one surprised me. I honestly didn’t even know Wizard-branded hammers existed. When this one came to my attention, I knew I had to try to get my hands on it. Huge thanks to Chris for bringing it to my attention and helping work out the trade so it could make its way to the shop. A pretty cool piece of Western Auto history right there. ⸻ Pull up a chair. Hide your wallet. And let’s open some boxes. 📬 Questions? Want one? Need someone to justify a terrible purchase? Slide into the DMs on Facebook or Instagram—or email me directly: 📧 redbeardknt@yahoo.com ⸻ This episode includes: • sharp steel • emotional damage (the good kind) • bad decisions backed by solid craftsmanship • axe chaos I will absolutely not apologize for You’ve been warned. Again. 😈🪓 🔥 POOR IMPULSE CONTROL GUARANTEED ⸻ 🔧 Shop Supplies I Actually Use Tools that help me make questionable choices faster: 👉 https://amzn.to/4hmd8Ld
