Did you notice that the verse mentions the death first? Let’s go even even deeper and look at Surah Al Baqarah verse 28 it says “How can you deny Allah? You were lifeless and He gave you life, then He will cause you to die and again bring you to life, and then to Him you will ˹all˺ be returned. Did you notice again the verse mentions the death first but this time even twice of EACH but pay attention at the end of the worse, it says then you will be returned to him return is happening after life NOT AFTER DEATH. The last part of the words is telling being returned to AFTER BEING ALIVE. That’s why up until now when you see someone has tasted the deck, but they say return to Allah we don’t return to Allah than we are dead. We only return to Allah then we are alive. The true meaning of this verse is How can you deny that the Names of Allah comprise your essence (in accord with the meaning of the letter B)when you were lifeless (unaware of your essential reality) and He brought you to life (with the knowledge He disclosed to you); again He will cause you to die (from the state of thinking you are only the body), and again He will bring you to life (purify you from confining your existence to your body and enable you to live in a state of consciousness)... eventually you will see your reality.
