Master Mark Warburton is the owner of Sarnia Olympic Taekwondo located in Ontario, Canada. A shy introverted kid who never really found his footing in traditional sports like soccer, he preferred video games and pro wrestling. Enamored by wrestlers who used martial arts like The Great Muta, he decided to try martial arts in his local Karate school. But when he saw 1992 Olympic Taekwondo gold medalist Herb Perez as "Olympus" on the television show "WMAC Masters", he knew this was the style of choice for him. Grandmaster Perez's demonstrations of fierce kicks and powerful movements paved the way for him to not only follow his passion but completely immerse himself into the sport becoming a true fan of it. Representing Canada and Great Britain through his career on the mats, Master Mark Warburton demonstrates a tale of perseverance, competing at the Canadian National Championships for 20 years before making his first podium. Today, he inspires his students with his "never say die" attitude, and encyclopedic knowledge of the sport.
