Want a way to quickly navigate through all the molecules and replicates (raw data files) in a Skyline file, without clicking around with your mouse? There’s a keyboard shortcut! And it’s my favorite. 🧪 What You’ll Learn We heavily use Skyline Software for method development and in-depth data analysis tasks. Here we share with you a quick shortcut for: • How to navigate through molecules and replicates using the molecule tree and the replicates dropdown menu • When and how to use a shortcut for doing it all from the keyboard 💻 Try It Yourself Here is how you can test this yourself right away: • To navigate through the molecule tree, click on any molecule and then use the up or down arrow keys to move between molecules (or peptides) • The shortcut: To navigate through the replicates directly from the molecule tree, hold down Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down arrow keys, to navigate through the replicates instead 🧠 About MoveTips MoveTips is a short-format educational series from Move Analytical — practical hacks, features, and insights to make metabolomics easy and reproducible.
