During the arbitral process, there are a number of administrative decisions that are not made by arbitrators but by an arbitral institution, either because of the nature of the issue (such as arbitrator challenges) or because an arbitrator may not yet be appointed. The ICDR’s Administrative Review Council was created to act as the decision making authority for some of these administrative issues, including objections or challenges to the continuing service of an arbitrator; disputes regarding the location of hearings or the place of arbitration; disputes concerning the number of arbitrators that will be appointed to an arbitration; and whether the applicable Rules’ administrative requirements to initiate or file an arbitration have been met. During this webinar, members of AAA-ICDR will provide an overview of how the Council operates and provide some best practices for counsel to consider. Panelists: Thomas Ventrone, Elizabeth Robertson, Ana Lombardia, Yanett Quiroz, and Kelly Turner Moderator: Rodrigo de Oliveira Franco
