Often I'll find myself craving a smooth refreshing Mango or Melon milk tea at night. Since I don't always have the energy to jet out to an asian cafe, I now keep some tapioca pearls in my pantry, and can whip up some Bubble Tea myself, anytime! Ingredients: For the tea: 1 cup boiling water & two tea bags (your choice - green or black) For the Boba: 5 cups boiling water, 1/2 cup 5 minute tapioca pearls, 1 tbsp brown sugar (or more if you'd like) 1 cup Fruit Nectar/smoothie (I'm using Kern's Mango nectar; i recommend naked juice mango or odwalla as well) 1 cup whole milk Optional: 1 tbsp of sugar during blending process Tapioca Pearls on Amazon: http://goo.gl/rB5sM Directions: Brew your tea - steep the tea bags in the 1 cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. Then let it chill in the refrigerador for another 10 minutes. Cook the Boba - boil 5 cups to each 1/2 cup of pearls. Once the water is boiling, add the brown sugar and pearls, stir, cover the pot, and let it cook on Low Heat for 5 minutes until plump. Then drain the tapioca pearls. To make tea frothy - add the milk, fruit puree, and tea and blend together in a blender for 30 seconds until frothy. Or you can simply mix these ingredients by hand. Take a large glass, fill the bottom with a scoop of cooked tapioca pearls, add ice, then pour the milk tea on tip. Stir and enjoy! *note - always make fresh pearls for your tea. They don't store overnight :) **be sure to use a large diameter straw that can fit those pearls! Thanks for watching!
