Hey guys! I owned a horse treat company called Royalty and Reins Bakery on Instagram and sold lots of fancy, hand-decorated horse treats. Today, I'm showing you exactly how you can make them yourself at home! Ingredients for cookie: -Flour of choice -Water -Molasses Ingredients for icing: -Water -Powdered sugar -Pasteurized egg whites or meringue powder (Optional): -Food coloring -Sprinkles Directions for cookie: -Combine 1 part water, 2 parts molasses, and 8 parts flour -Roll out and cut dough then bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until the bottom edges of the cookie are slightly browned Directions for icing: -Add a whole bag of powdered sugar to a mixer and slowly add the egg whites until you get desired texture -Thin the base icing out with water as necessary -Add food coloring and flavoring if desired Decorate & enjoy! IMPORTANT -These are horse treats-just exactly that-a treat. They obviously contain sugar between the icing and molasses, but are fine to give as a snack once in a while as long as your horse has no dietary restrictions.
