This talk represents the speaker's personal approach to and understanding of meditation, immunity and health which warrants further scientific investigation. We've flagged this talk because it falls outside the content guidelines TED gives TEDx organizers. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t... Aging, Anxiety, Chronic Illness all share a common thread-neuroinflammation. Lifestyle changes (diet, sleep) and Meditation can help reduce this neuroinflammation and slow the decline in the experience of life. In fact, meditation increases brain thickness, function, connectivity, integration, and biological age and wraps the brain in pleasantness to be in sync with nature. Academic, Aging, Brain, Meditation, Mental health Bala graduated medical school from JIPMER, Puducherry, India.
