All three got into double digits, but failed to bat long as Rauf, Nawaz and Naseem pulled things back to leave the game hanging in balance. There were no fireworks by Kamindu Mendis, and Sri Lanka were reeling at 210/7. Hasaranga came to the team's rescue again. The all-rounder batted with the tail and played a lone hand with a sizzing 59 off 53 balls to keep both teams at the edge of their respective seats, but lost Chameera's presence at the other end after the seamer went for a nothing shot. Hasaranga tried to pull off the heist, but failed to clear Babar Azam at long on while attempting to slog a full toss in the penultimate over. Still, Theekshana kept Sri Lanka in the game with a couple of boundaries in the final over, but Talat had enough in the tank to win the game for his country.
