East Coast Mainline, Werrington Junction 07.03.2012

Werrington Junction on the East Coast Mainline, filmed on the 7th March 2012 early in the morning. The aim of this visit was to video the HNRC Class 20's. Traction included a Class 43 HST, Intercity 225's, Class 158's, a Class 156, Class 66's and Class 20's from operating companies; East Coast, East Midlands Trains, EWS (now DB Schenker), Freightliner. Firstly to be seen was DB Schenker Class 66's, No's 66102 (leading) and 66186 on a light engine move heading south towards Peterborough, Freightliner Class 66, No. 66508 heading north on route training duties and the highlight of the morning, HNRC Class 20's, No's 20905 and 20901 in Trainload Grey (leading) top n' tailing with Class 20, No. 20142 in BR livery and No. 20227 in Railfreight livery on the 6M21 Barrier vehicles move to Old Dalby from Peterborough to pick up new TFL S stock. Other notable movements included; Class 91, No. 91101 at the rear of an Intercity 225 set heading south towards Peterborough and a Class 43 HST of East Coast with consist cars in East Midlands Trains livery. Apoligies for the poor shot of the Class 20's, due to the rain and having packed the tripod away.
