Shortly thereafter, they upgraded to a 10-year warranty if you register the unit. 2) Thermapen ONE does not have a 10-minute power-off feature, it has a configurable auto-off feature between 10-180 seconds, and this feature can be turned off so the unit never goes to sleep. The confusion stems from the fact that, in the past, some Thermapen models had a 10-minute auto-off feature. To truly power down both Lightning and Thermapen ONE, you need to swing the probe into the closed position.
