An insight into how I play this game when I'm solo - a subtitled hunt and what came after. Pride kills in this game. Remember that if you have a group, it's easier to raise one baby than have everyone regrow at the same time. Sometimes it might be better to cut your losses when you have the chance. Currently in the isle, there are issues with raptor pounce and its interactions with dismounting. When the raptor dismounts or is knocked off of a target, the game struggles to position them properly and that's why the raptors are frozen when I knock them off with a tree. Hopefully this will be fixed with the release of rex and allo, but as of this upload it is not. Be wary of where you fight and what you pounce. Hi! If you're taking the time to read the description, thank you. I'm Dapper, I play a pretty wide range of games but mostly I'm uploading Isle content at the moment. I play almost exclusively on officials, and try to embody my personal philosophy when playing this game that "survival is winning." That means that I'll do everything it takes to get through an experience alive, even if that means abandoning unfeasible hunts or dangerous fights, capitalizing on unfair advantages, and just generally trying to do whatever it takes to make it out alive, while maintaining a respectful and encouraging attitude towards the other players on the server. It's not about being "good" or "a better player" than anyone else, and I gladly acknowledge that not everyone plays the game the way I do! I decided to focus on survival as my primary objective to enhance my enjoyment of the game. If "winning" is defined by simply not being dead as opposed to killing your opponents every time, then you can start considering yourself to be succeeding the moment you spawn in. I find it lessens the sting of the eventual death that is the fate of every dinosaur in this game. I try to play like the kind of person I'd like to run into in the wild - I don't hack, mixpack, or exploit, and I try to only kill for food or in the process of defending myself. And when, inevitably, my luck runs out, I do my best to accept it and start over with a smile on my face.
