Utah Boondocking Adventures Ep. 1 | Suboverland + Cargo Trailer Shakedown Cruise | Arizona Strip

It's time to put the Suboverland and our cargo trailer to the test on a true boondocking adventure! We load up the truck and trailer and hitch up for a shakedown cruise. Our original itinerary gets washed out due to high winds and subzero temps. So we pivot and head south from St. George on AZ County Highway 5, which quickly turns to gravel and dirt as it snakes its way up into the mountains. We deploy the E-bikes to check out a couple potential campsites but end up sticking to the highway to find out overnight rest stop. As the scenery transforms from low desert scrub to high desert Pinion Pines and Junipers, we finally find our camp spot down a short side road and pitch camp among the trees. The scenery, silence and solitude are unmatched, and we depart the next morning eager to expand our boondocking experiences ASAP! Here's the route on GaiaGPS. Note, the waypoint shown is where we rode our bikes out and back to check out campsites. Much of this portion is driveable, however there is a 2-3 foot deep trench cutting across the road at one point.
