This is part 1 of a multipart series. It is a visual introduction to the Palma central Intermodal station showing entrances, information & ticketing plus ancillary services such as supermarket, cash point and toilets. The whole facility is modern, clean and well lit with ample information of the transport services provided. There is good provision for disabled access with multiple lifts. Set on three floors, Minus 1 - Entrance and ticketing hall with access to the metro system Minus 2 - TIB buses [29 bays covering all parts of the island] Minus 3 - Car parking both short and long-term. --- A promising future ------------------------------- In the last twenty years it has improved out of all recognition. This development is planned to continue into the future. The Balearic government plan covers the period 2019 to 2026 with an investment of 1,685 million euros. A key aspect of this is a significant expansion of the rail network. There is to be a new railway line connecting Palma and Llucmajor, the extension from Sa Pobla to Alcudia is back, and also the line from Manacor to Arta. The plan is to also take it to Cala Millor and Cala Ratjada. Exciting parts of the latest proposals are a tram link to the airport from the centre of Palma, as well as one from Palma to Santa Ponsa. The previously highlighted metro extension to the ParcBit technology park is included in the plan, plus a much-needed extension to Son Espases Hospital. --- PDFs for free download: ------------------------------ Routes TIB Island map.pdf - https://bit.ly/3iafLno Plan floor -1 Intermodal.pdf - https://bit.ly/3icwWEH TIB Combined.pdf - https://bit.ly/3BTy7AZ Application form Intermodal card.pdf - https://bit.ly/3lcYkob Bus Stops on floor -2.pdf - https://bit.ly/3BY3oCI General Information Intermodal card.pdf - https://bit.ly/3idYj1n Map area Intermodal ground level.pdf - https://bit.ly/2WzoDKR Palma Airport Buses - https://bit.ly/3frJLcD Choosing your bus service - https://bit.ly/3iwEEK4 #travel, #mallorca, #majorca --- Other interesting videos: ------------------------------------ TIB Part 2 - Explainer: • How to Travel Mallorca - Local Buses ...
