This first episode of writing advice is about writing for the opposite gender! I've been asked a handful of times about how I make my male characters convincing, even though they were written by a woman. It's surprisingly easier than you think it is! Here, I'll give you several techniques to improve your writing, even if you're scared to dive into the wonderful world of writing characters completely different from yourself. The illustration I'm drawing here in the video is of my characters Lucian and Mina, who are also in my short story, "The Puzzle Box." You can watch (or listen) to the audio version of the story here: • "The Puzzle Box" a DEM Short Story My Website https://www.lunarwanderers.com/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/lunar_wanderers/ TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@lunar_wanderers?la... About Deus Ex Machina: It's not done yet, but Deus Ex Machina (or DEM) is my work in progress, a celestial gaslamp fantasy comic. If demigod assassins, bloodthirsty gangs, and a cataclysmic event brought on by the murder of a god sounds cool to you, you'll probably like my comic! The whole project is still in its early phases, so now's the perfect time to join our little menagerie and watch the whole thing come together. Check out my Instagram for regular updates!
