HOPE IN VEIN follows a young man’s journey as he grapples with the stigma of living with HIV. HIV; A Bitter Tainted Romance I had somewhat heard of it; distance stories of the anguish. It seems medical breakthroughs faded the discussion. But you soon find that the stigma keeps on scuffing the progress. Every experience is different, yet we may all sense the same taint. Some themes are more difficult to talk about. Subjects shadowed by taboos. It’s a restraint in the dialogue sensed from one who navigates perilous terrain. But progress is made through conversation. Brightening obscurity to alleviate it’s weight. With desire to open up the conversation, and hopefully lighten it up a bit.
