Since the recording of this video, Shader glass now supports Retro Crisis shaders so you could play this setup on Duckstation with the same shader now using shader glass. YES the game is THAT pixelated / blurry when played at OG resolution on a modern monitor then cropped to fit the aspect ratio of your phone. I am NOT claiming this is how it looks on OG hardware + CRT TV. I am showing how it looks when you emulate it. Please watch either of my “How Resolution Works” pinned videos and try it for yourself before commenting I’m NOT claiming this is the best way nor the way YOU should play. Take what you like. Ignore what you don't. *I set internal resolutions higher than my display resolution on purpose, this is called “super sampling” and does improve fidelity slightly. For Steam Deck, if you are running windows and NOT SteamOS all my videos will work. I’ve never emulated using a phone, unfortunately I cannot help you.
