Great Divide Brewing Co Yeti Imperial Stout Review

ABV: 10% IBU: 75 BEER STYLE: Imperial Stout One sip of this sweet stout and immediately thoughts of a savory backyard BBQ on a cool summer evening run through your mind. From the first pour you will notice the thick consistency of a true Stout Beer and a thick tan head. Strong smokey notes are noticed throughout with a bit of a savory balance of flavor to the palate. The finish offers sweet notes of caramel and toffee to balance out the smokey flavors. Given this stouts high ABV and IBU numbers it's surprisingly tame. Originally bottled on November 6th, 2013 allowing this aging process to calm down the otherwise alcohol potency allowing more of the rich flavor notes to stand out. The multitude of in your face flavor pairs perfectly with a nice grilled steak making this a perfect dinner pairing. Overall the rich notes may seem overwhelming at first but the flavor is very balanced offering a drinking experience you won't soon forget.
