Peterson comments on the song's release: "I'm extremely grateful to Wilderun for giving my band this opportunity and giving our song the win and showcase for the 'Distraction II Song Contest' we wrote this for. I genuinely wasn't sure if we were going to be able to pull this off, as we had less than the full amount of time between when the contest started and ended to make it happen, but we all surprised ourselves and made something we're proud of. It certainly helped having the notes taken about the composition of Wilderun's 'Distraction II' (which, unsurprisingly, turned out to be an amazing track upon release). Working on this song going into the new year was just the kick in the ass I needed to put myself in a more productive headspace to write and work even more for Spectria (which, if you like this song, especially if you like the riff at 1:01 - 1:34 ... more stuff in that vein is in the works!) as well as to work more on my other projects, including Eetu's musical brainchild Acrocosm for which I play bass and keyboards.
