In the latest 20th Anniversary newsletter from Zentangle, they mentioned our journal and suggested that we describe how we learned about Zentangle. I’ve been talking about that for months now, LOL! With this video I will have shown 43 of the 102 tangles from the 102 Tangles of Zentangle poster that introduced me to the Zentangle Method. In my last video I showed Drupe and Fracas and next I decided to show Dyon, which is very similar. I thought it would make a fun reticula, so I picked patterns to go into the ribbons in each row. I used Ambler (Emingle), Knightsbridge, Shattuck, and Tortuca and really enjoyed it. The 102 Tangles of Zentangle poster was published in 2009 and can be purchased at Zentangle.com. Pattern used in this video: Ambler (Emingle), Dyon, Knightsbridge, Shattuck, and Tortuca by Zentangle, Inc. Supplies Used in the video: Zendala, 3.5" Zentangle tile, a sketchbook, or any paper Black Micron 01 pen or PN (or your choice of pens and colors) Graphite pencil Blending stump Optional: Colored pens or pencils If you’re interested in adding background color to your tiles, please see the videos in this playlist: • Zentangle Tile Backgrounds Here is the video that explains the disc binding system that I use to hold some of my tiles: • Disc Binding System for Organizing my Art ... Most patterns that I use can be found on the Tangle Patterns website https://tanglepatterns.com/ or on the Musterquelle website: https://www.musterquelle.de/ The Musterquelle site is in German, but you can change it to your language as needed. The Zentangle® Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. It was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas.
