Hi, and welcome back to Rediscovering RC. Well, after some trials and tribulations, I have yet another update regarding the Raceform Lazer Jig for 1/10th scale buggies... and well, I wish I had better news to share. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get the workaround suggested by Raceform to work for me. I didn't even attempt to glue the tires tested, because even without glue, the tire bead would simply get to a point where it just wasn't seating properly back into the groove. Although not discussed in the video, I even attempted adjusting the roller by way of a small set screw in the base that adjusts roller backstop; this allows you to adjust the gap created when the roller pinches on the tire. Anyway, despite my best efforts, I just didn't feel confident enough to try and glue the 2WD tires. Again, I do appreciate Raceform's straight forward response and suggestion, and I do hope that their team does take a look at possible solutions, but in the meantime, the Raceforn Lazer Jig is just a mixed bag due to this problem. As I mention in the video, it works really well with 1/10th rears, but with front tires, your mileage may vary. That being said, based on what I've seen, if you drive a 1/8th scale Buggy or Truggy, definitely take a look at the 1/8th scale Lazer Jigs, as they really seem to perform.
