In this video, I share my personal experience with note-taking while reading — what worked, what didn't, and why I think taking notes matters more than most people realize, even for recreational reading. I walk through two books I recently read — Plato's The Republic and Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment — and use them as real examples of different note-taking approaches I tried: writing in the margins, using a separate notebook, and a hybrid of both.
