Passiflora Ruby Glow - Let's taste this dinosaur egg looking passion fruit.

Passion fruit come in many different flavor profiles, some are amazing and some are disgusting, or at least insipid. I've been growing several varieties lately to test what will grow in my climate without too much care. A decade ago, I planted Passiflora Ruby Glow not really knowing much about it. I actually didn't have a proper ID on it back then. I also didn't get many passion fruit from it in that 10 years, maybe 3 total. Then this year changed everything. I learned what compatible pollen it needed AND I hand pollinated it. Over 100 fruit, 80 of which rats got to before I did. But I finally figured out how to pollinate them properly and got tons of fruit this year so I wanted to do a taste test of a properly pollinated fruit... This passion fruit is a MUST to grow if you like big vines, beautiful leaves, amazing flowers, super duper fragrance and a plant that only needs moderate watering. It can can take SoCal winters and SoCal summers, produce bright HUGE FRAGRANT stunning flowers, and have large VEINY leaves... and to top that off, end up producing an edible fruit that's one of the largest passion fruits I grow so far.
