Want to know Where to go and what to do in Lanzarote, in a week - look no further. The lovely little island of Lanzarote, in the Atlantic off the coast of Morocco is full of things to do and see. The island is steeped in history, if you get to look for it and has a very cool feel about it - the locals just seems to be so laid back, friendly and helpful. Wander in the little creeks and coastal towns away from the tourist spots, see the colours and smells that make this a fabulous destination for travellers. The beaches are a mix of black sand, lava flows and miles and miles of golden sand and is an attraction for surfers and kitesurfers, or just for some long walks and a dip in the warm Atlantic ocean. There are lots of little restaurants - the places to go for fresh seafood, or meats, but there are lots of places that cater for the majority of tourists from Ireland, the UK and Germany. After the day is over, go to one of the rooftop bars and restaurants for some great food, cocktails and a never-to-be-forgotten music and dance evening. Lanzarote is a great place for walking and mountain biking around the island, although the national park of Timanfaya is off limits apart from organised tours and hikes. There are also some great spots for surfing, swimming, diving and snorkeling for all levels.
