Beside the magnificent views of the Sierra Nevada, this section included Soda Springs, Parson Memorial Lodge, majestic Tuolumne Falls, stunning alpine lakes and various wildlife. I went over more passes, 6 (official and unofficial) and ascended more elevation gain than in any section in the Sierra. 12,250 ft. elevation gain Passes: Benson Pass - 10,107 ft. Seavey Pass - 9,129 ft. “Rev Pass” (unofficial) - 8,725 ft. “Marmalade Pass” (unofficial) - 8,885 ft. Dorothy Lake Pass - 9,526 ft. Sonora Pass - 9,624 ft.
