On August 1st, 2020, officers responded to a theft in progress. They were advised that an off-duty police officer had stolen a 31-year-old man’s phone and was denying it, even after the CCTV footage showed otherwise. He was very uncooperative from the beginning. Meanwhile, the female officer questioned the officer's friends about the phone. The male persisted in being argumentative, further escalating the situation. He still refused to produce the phone and cooperate with the officers. The male escalated the situation, leaving the police with no choice but to tase him. He continued to resist even after being handcuffed. The suspect continued to argue with the cops and defend his side. Shortly after, he was transported to the police department for processing.
