Ninjago Soundtrack - Day of the Departed Theme - Jay Vincent and Michael Kramer

This is a track played in the Ninjago TV special, "Day of the Departed". The piece, titled "Maybe I'm Departed", is played during the scene where the Ninja spread out across Ninjago to commemorate their ancestors, as well as during the special's ending scene/credits. The track was later reprised in episode 98, "Endings", after the Ninja defeat the Oni legion. The piece serves as a theme for the episode, which follows the Ninja as they remember those they've lost. This music is all about remembrance: it makes you feel sad and happy at the same time, there's a strong balance between the two. The track opens with a solemn theme that combines a harp and vocals. At 0:33, the theme begins, starting off sad and commemorative before becoming hopeful at 1:03. Throughout the theme, you can hear some excerpts of the Overture.
