Hurricane Fishing in a FLOODED Road

Hurricane Ian hit Orlando, causing a record 500 year flood. The water came up so much, it flooded the streets, creating undriveable conditions and sent the fish scrambling. I've seen pictures and videos of people in the street on boats in Charleston the last few years on Instagram, but never imagined I'd be doing the same in my home town. This was one of the best days of my life, fishing the same roads I've walked, biked and driven on my whole life. The days leading up to the Hurricane, I told anyone that would listen that Hurricane Irma produced the best fishing day of my life. My dad and I caught around an absolute mega bag at a golf course pond on frogs. The barometric pressure and conditions had giants jumping out of the water unprovoked, and doing backflips on our frogs. The day after Hurricane Ian, Phil and I were met our friend Matt as we walked the streets. We waded by mansions, with homeowners paddling out of their driveways because the water was too deep to drive out. Big trucks would try to pass us on the road and soon after turn around in fear of flooding their cabins. Neighborhood kids swam, biked in and boogie boarded the lanes. We had one thing on our mind.
