I was honoured to receive an invitation from Craig, the owner and operations lead of Morgans Long Distance Transport in Yandina, Queensland, to visit their yard for a behind the scenes tour and ride along experience. Morgans is a proud family-owned Australian transport company with more than forty years in the industry, known for its reliability, professionalism and strong presence across long distance freight routes on the East Coast. During the visit, Craig gave me the opportunity to get up close with two of their iconic machines, the Kenworth K200 and the Kenworth T909, and to capture the character, sound and power of the trucks that keep Australia’s freight network moving. His passion for the fleet and hands on leadership reflect the spirit of a company built on trust, hard work and genuine commitment to service. Morgans Long Distance Transport specialises in general freight, palletised goods, machinery transport and building materials, supported by NHVAS accreditation and a driver culture built on safety, punctuality and clear communication. Their long-standing reputation comes from delivering goods securely and on time while maintaining strong relationships with local businesses and clients. As part of the day, we also took a short drive to All Coast Tyres in Yandina, the trusted tyre partner that handles all the Morgans tyre work. There, I met John, the owner, who shared a warm insight into the history and growth of his business. All Coast Tyres is a well-established, locally owned tyre and heavy vehicle servicing company, known for specialising in truck tyres, roadside support and dependable maintenance for commercial fleets. John and his team play a vital role in keeping transport operators like Morgans safely on the road, a reminder of the essential partnerships and skilled tradespeople behind every successful transport outfit. This visit offered more than just a ride in some beautiful Kenworths, it was a chance to understand the people, the businesses and the relationships that keep Australia’s transport industry thriving.
