Well we were living in Taiwan and it looked likely that we would be heading to Hawaii next. And my husband and I had talked about, you know, this procedure for awhile and he was the one that was like, "I really think this is a good time. If you want to go ahead and do this we should probably look into doing it when we get to Hawaii." So I immediately just hopped online and, you know, good ol' Google to the rescue...What's the best surgeon in Hawaii? And Dr. Schlesinger right came up. And I'm also on RealSelf so I was able to go on there and read other people's reviews and then got a link to his website and watched testimonials like this one and I just really got this good feeling and a good sense that he was a Dr. that really took these procedures very seriously. And that he really wants the people who come to him, he really wants them to have a better life. His motivation seemed really almost solely that and not really for anything else. Just I want to make you the best person externally that you can be. I read a lot of reviews, obviously from other patients that have not gone to Dr. Schlesinger. One thing I was noticing was that so many other patients did not see their surgeon again. They would just see them maybe, sometimes they didn't even see them it seemed like for the consult. They'd see like a nurse, that would maybe take pictures and then they'd hear back, "Yeah the surgeon will do the surgery." And I'm reading these stories like, "I don't think I can do that!" And then to come here it was so assuring to realize that that wasn't going to happen to me. That I was going to be taken care of. And that he really wants, he wanted to be involved in every step of the recovery. You know, it's like, "I want to make sure that everything is healing exactly the right way." Because for him it's like, "I want that finished result and it looks beautiful then I'll move onto the next one and I'll do the same thing." You know? I would say that prior to the second surgery I felt like I had improved drastically. That even if I didn't have the second surgery I would be pleased with how things had turned out. But I did feel like it could get better. And I thought ok, if it can get better, I'm in the right hands for somebody to make it get better because obviously he's taken me this far. If there's more to this journey than let's do the rest, you know. And so far, so good. I'm very, very pleased and very happy that...He was funny he told me in his office that, "I had to offer the second one for free because people will be pleased with the procedure and they won't want to come in and pay the money to do the second." So then rather than make the first procedure you know like this amount and then like, "Oh then come back in and do this." They'll be like, "Oh I'll just save that and I won't go." So yeah, having it all in one gives me the confidence that this is what I need to have the full experience that I'm really looking for. Basically I can do, if we do it all at once I'll do both of them poorly. You're going to get an under job on both. You'll have a scar you don't really like, you'll have just not as much lipo that you want on your stomach. So, why would you do that when you can have your cake and eat it too?
