Kanom Tian ขนมเทียน is a glutinous coconut dumpling steamed in fragrant banana leaves in the shape of a pagoda. Often prepared for important holidays like Lunar New Year and Songkran, but can be found it being sold as street food all year round. This dessert is regarded as an auspicious food item and can be given as offerings. Kanom Tian symbolizes the sweetness of life.
