Dylan makes the mysteries of love even more mysterious in "Born in Time" - from 9/4/93 Saratoga, NY.

No one writes mysterious, mystical love songs better than Bob Dylan. "When we were made of dreams"..."Where we were born in time..." To me it sounds like a bond between two souls that transcends the boundaries of space and time. There's a long mystical tradition whose influence spans many cultures, and no broad consensus about where and how far back it originated. According to this view, souls inhabit a greater, multi-dimensional world which we here on Earth cannot imagine. Many who wish to increase their wisdom and abilities faster choose the difficult path of incarnating on Earth, where the daunting challenges of living in a material world present accelerated opportunities to learn how the universe works and how to shape reality. One hardship that makes this path so challenging is that once they are submerged in the world of matter, souls suffer from amnesia because, as materialized beings, they no longer perceive, much less can conceive of the greater reality which exists outside the material world, that state of being which is their home and where their full and true identity lies.
