BANANA YOGURT SOAP RECIPE: Oils and Butters (Total weight 500 g): 🫘 25 g Castor Oil 🥥 100 g Coconut Oil 🧈 150 g Cocoa Butter 🫒 100 g Olive Oil 🧴 125 g Shea Butter 🍌 Banana: 25 g Lye Solution: ⚗️ 69.6 g NaOH (Sodium Hydroxide) 🥛 120 g Unsweetened Yogurt 🧂 10 g sodium citrate* diluted with 30 g water Important Note: Always handle sodium hydroxide with extreme care. Wear protective gear, including gloves, goggles, and long-sleeved clothing. Work in a well-ventilated area and follow all safety guidelines. Superfat: 3%** Sodium citrate is a salt derived from citric acid. Sodium citrate acts as a chelating agent, meaning it binds with metal ions in water, which helps prevent soap scum from forming. By using sodium citrate, I can ensure that the soap performs well in both soft and hard water. Note: During the curing process, white crystalline spots may appear on the surface of the soap due to the sodium citrate in the recipe. This is normal, non-harmful, and can be easily rinsed off. ** Because I added the fresh banana directly into the soap, so I wanted to lower the superfat to 3% compared to 5% as normally STEPS: 00:12 - Prepare frozen yogurt. 00:38 - Prepare oils and butters. 01:55 - Melting oild and butters. 02:27 - Prepare banana. 03:32 - Prapare sodium citrate. 04:18 - Prepare sodium hydroxide. 04:38 - Add NaOH to the yogurt. 05:04 - Add sodium citrate to NaOH yogurt mixture. 05:17 - Check temperature of the oil and NaOH. 05:32 - Add NaOH to the oil and strain the curds. 06:28 - Mixing. 07:00 - Pour into mold. 07:52 - Unmold. 08:22 - Cutting. 10:10 - Wash hand.
