This video is about the combination of the tig welding techniques, such as; the constant feed technique, and dipping method on the root, hot pass, and cover pass or cap. The welding technique used will depend on the thickness of the pipe. You can either free-hand or walk the cup on a thin wall pipe. This is because you will have a shallow bevel that you can walk on with the cup. If it is a heavy wall pipe you will want a cup size that is small enough to fit between the groves and slide easily. The video gives viewers good insights into placing excellent and solid root passes. You will get to learn about different technical paths that you can explore.
