Midjourney just released its first video model. --------------------------- UPDATE: Midjourney has a very strange way of naming its downloads - as of today. There are three download options (two of them can be found at the top right above the prompt - all three can be found by right-clicking on the video). 1. Download for Social 1936 x 1080 px approx. 9 MB 2. Download RAW Video 832 x 464 px approx. 4 MB 3. Download GIF 320 x 178 px approx. 6 MB My take on that: If you choose the right one, the resolution of the videos is actually 1936 x 1080 px. So it is already an optimal size to work with. --------------------------- No teaser. No rumor. It’s real – and it’s live. I’ve tested the Animate function in all modes: Auto and Manual. Low and High Motion. External uploads. Prompt-based extensions. Still frames that turn into scenes. Most clips last five seconds – but you can extend them up to twenty. The resolution is still low, but what you get is surprisingly sharp in timing, detail, and interpretation. From robots wearing buckets to snowball fights with dragons – these aren’t just gimmicks. They show what’s technically possible when words start to move. Is this the final step? No. But it’s the first one you can actually use. And maybe that’s the moment that matters most – when stillness starts to breathe. Here's a brief side note: The intro was created with ChatGPT, Veo 3, Kling 2.1 and ElevenLabs.
