Trinity Acoustic Guitar Grade 5 Bonnies Bounce This is a bit more "homespun" than usual and includes the improvising section broken down after the main video. I'm reading it and fitting it in-between other projects (at the request of Saketh Kolluri), hence the slightly more homespun nature! Shot directly to iPad and with the guitar sat on a cushion so you can see it (makes me look small, lol!). Normal will be resumed one day! Anyway, things to be aware of - start slowly and carefully, get your fingering sorted first and build tempo later. LEARN YOUR CHORDS and the notes on the fingerboard. Its no good having a piece of paper that says "Grade 5" etc if you don't know what you're doing! There is an abbreviated version by the composer on the Trinity channel. You are aiming for a nice bouncy feel to this achieved with a slight staccato and a strong down strum/pulse. the "xxx" = mute stroke. So strike the strings normally and mute them with the left hand. You are after a "chuk" kind of sound, no notes. The last chord is to be cut short. The "improvise" section is clearly not improvised! As it is a section for improvising I have taken some liberties with the chords. For example, the G7-E7 section now includes F#7, F7 and Eb7 - why? Because they sound good and create movement. There are lots of little chromatic slides into chords to add interest as well. Be patient, wear out the pause "button" and have fun! Subscribe, like and share
