This was done as part of a psychology project for Foundations studies at Lingnan University in Hong Kong 2025 and is the first part of 8 clips from the movie illustrating the events between the movie's male lead played by Jack Nicholson as Melvin Udall and the Belgium Griffon Jill as Verdell. Here in this scene at the very beginning, it shows Melvin's disgust for the dog, Verdell who gets dumped into the garbage disposal chute after it urinates in the hallway. Note that Melvin has Obsessive Compulsive disease and wears gloves to handle Verdell for great fear of comtamination. Spoiler alert (for those who have never seen this movie): This clip shows that both Melvin and Verdell have zero attachment with each other at this stage of the movie. However, subsequent clips which follows this will show the gradual build up and bonding between these two characters culminating in a strong attachment.
